Furniture Slipcovers
Tailor Fitted
We will need to have your furniture frame here in our shop for a couple of weeks. Your slipcover is tailor-fit to your furniture. Your skirt is lined and we surge all edges of each cut. We install double nylon zippers for easy installation.
Pre-Shrunk & Washable Covers
An especially nice feature about all of our slipcovers is that we surge every edge of every cut. This allows for dry cleaning, which is our recommended cleaning method. Often customers will request we pre-shrink their fabric or purchase a pre-shrunk fabric to construct their slipcover with. This allows the slipcover to be laundered in a washing machine.
We recommend test washing a sample of any fabric you are considering. This will allow you to see if you like the results. Machine washing will change the character of many fabrics and destroy some. We use quality nylon zippers, glides and an extruded welt core designed to hold up to machine washing and dry cleaning.
Beautiful Results
Many times people will tell me that our slipcover fit so well and the look was so good that the item looks upholstered not slipcovered. Not all furniture are good candidates for slipcovering. Upholstery items with large attached cushions or compound curves usually present challenges that require elastic, extra darts, tucks and pleats. Recliners also have their limits on what can be achieved with slipcovering. Your cushion covers will have a perfect fit.
We can customize your slipcover with a draw, string Velcro, grommets or buttons.
